You've certainly chosen the right community!!! I recommend Lady Rayna Keller's blog on here. She brings up a lot of topics that are often discussed and tossed around in Steampunk culture. You'll find that our main chat room is very welcoming. We're from all over the country and farther even with some people from the UK. You'll also find different ranges of steampunk here as well. Some of us go for the more English steampunk while other's pick and pull from the Wild west or civil war. Captain Lachlan Bellraven who welcomed you does some really unique stuff with a 19th century Cajun/Louisiana concept. We also have a bit of space steampunk in Sgt. Ian Macbruich's blog.
