Twisting her plat into a loose bun, Ara stood in front of the captain's study, waiting to be called in. There was a chilled silence in the wind that made Her spin around nervously and check that the crew was still working, going about their daily jobs. The skies of the Judean desert were a clear blue, never any clouds and Ara could see, through the netting that draped down from Widow's balloon, the name of the other ship painted on messily in Red. "The Dawn Rider". A muffled call rang through the door of the study and Ara opened, stepping in and scanning the room. To the wooden chair to the right of the door, sat a short man with curly brown hair, a trimmed beard, and a silver piercing in his right eyebrow. He stood with a friendly grin that almost made Ara squint to look for fangs but she smiled back as he did to her. A nice vibe, he gave her. To the left, a man with wispy light brown hair that fell around his neck. He had sort of a skinny build but seemed strong and had a slightly beak like nose. His eyes were soft but there were hints of mischief in them that said, "we're going to get along." Other men and women stood around the perimeter of the room and in the front two chairs at the captain's desk, two more men had turned their positions to Ara with the captain smiling softly behind them.

"Arabella," Charlotte began, motioning her hand to the tall one on the right with curly brown hair that was more trimmed down than the short man next to Ara, "This is Captain Ezekiel of the Dawn Rider." The man stood and bowed slightly,

"My crew calls me Zeke." He said in a slight Australian accent, "You don't have to be formal. Allow me to introduce my first mate Jem." The Captain motioned to the portly mate next to him with a small round nose and stubble around his chin. His dark brown hair spiked up slightly.

"This is my first mate and right hand girl on board, Arabella Porter. She does my dirty work when needed." Charlotte said. "Ara, the Dawn Rider is our new partner for four months until we go back to our base in England." Ara nodded in understanding. Later that night, the crews mingled after looting a rum importer together. Songs were sang and dances were danced. A woman with shaved black hair and purple wisps that had been left alone in front of her ears introduced herself as Lilith with her crew mate Cendra, a woman with long black hair, cat like eyes, and a temper even the wind would hide from. All Australian. An exceptionally tall Indian kid stumbled around the galley with a box faced trouble maker with an eyebrow piercing. There was a lot of them and they all had very different personalities. The wispy hair boy from the Captain's study strolled up to Ara.

"The captain would like to see you in the study." He said,

"Zeke?" She asked,

"No, Captain Charlotte." Said he and Ara walked with him to the study. Inside sat the captain at her desk with a curvy, light haired girl leaning on the wall next to her. The wispy haired boy sat down at the desk with the Captain. "I'm Fink by the way." He said. "This is Emerald." The girl waved and crossed her arms.

"I think you should know about something that'll be happening soon." Captain Charlotte sighed.
