"Classic asian sails and wings. No more propeller." Captain Charlotte had her arms crossed. "I've also installed some secret passages that myself and you will keep under lock and key. Only we will know about them. I got the brig redone, widened out storage,A new stove in the galley, one more shower, took out two decks, had Mercurian put in a security system on the life ships, and as you can see, I made some changes to upper deck." she pointed out. "also," she put a hand on Ara's shoulder, "You have a room mate."

     "Yes captain," Ara said,

"you don't mind?" Charlotte asked. The first mate turned to face her.

"what?" scoffed Ara, "I'm not some high born prat."

"glad to hear it," said Captain Charlotte as two new crew members walked up to them. One was a short, olive skinned woman with thick black hair and a confident posture. Next to her, walked a thin, black haired man with glasses and one classy black suit that had a red cravate tucked in at the neck.

"Captain," the man bowed with a squinty smile,

"Oh no," Arabella said, pointing at him, "Who is this? We already have Roderick." the man lifted his posture and his countenance frowned.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too," He said sarcastically, calling out her lack of manners.

"Arabella, this is Raphael Walwhit, a philosopher and writer. This is his sister, Natalie

Walwhit. She's an entertainer like you did sometimes at your bar in england except she sings for more polite company."  Charlotte placed a firm hand on Raphael's shoulder. "find work for them."

"they're not my room mates," Ara said sternly.

"Don't be silly. I paired you up with Dominique. Roderick and Raphael will be rooming together. I have everyone's new rooming situation on this," Charlotte handed her a clipboard. Ara scanned it.

"So what can you two do?" Ara asked the Walwit siblings as they followed her to the residential side of second deck.

"I can write, read, speak two languages, English and Hebrew. I fence, cook, memorize various monologues and texts, and I have this. He held up his arm and pulled his sleeve up to reveal a brass plate that covered the back of his hand." the three stared at it im silence for a good long moment. Then Ara looked up at Raphael.

"what does it do?" she asked.

"stores information, gives information, finds information. I suffer from a high case of frequent distraction by thought and knowledge is my drug." Raphael grinned through his glasses.

"you're so dramatic," Natalie sighed, teasing him,

"I'm not dramatic, I'm impressed by technology and passionate about my loves in life." He argued defensivley. Natalie stretched her arms.

"as for me," she said, letting them fall, "I sing, cook, clean, write, read, dance, and I definitley act. You can probably use me for under cover missions or distractions." she smiled. Ara nodded and opened the door to Roderick and Raphael's room. It wasn't a big room, but not so small that there wasn't any space. on one side of the room, the wall was covered in shelves with all kinds of books on all kinds of topics. In the middle was a table covered in a green cloth that Ara knew roderick had picked for himself. At the back in front of a window that viewed the hallway next door, sat a wooden desk where roderick was viciously writing, his head bent over the paper. A bunk bed sat on the other side of the room.

"You should have knocked," Roderick said in his thick german accent, "i could have been indecent." He stood and brushed himself off before turning to face the three in the doorway. smoothing back his dark blonde hair and his small trimmed beard, he pushed his chair in with a foot and walked towards Raphael with arms wide, "How happy I am to finally find another intellectual!" he said, clamping his bony hands on raphael's arms and kissing his cheek.

"Books, books, books. As long as you're not a relativist, I think we should get along splendidly." Raphael smiled and turned to Ara, "thank you," He said, dragging his suitcase into his room. Ara nodded and then closed the door. she turned to Natalie and cocked her heead down the hall.

"come on," she said and they walked a few doors down to a room that had its door already open. Inside was two beds on opposite sides. One side had already been marked with Michelle's belongings. there was another desk at the back of the room and a few shelves. Natalie stepped in and curtsied,

"what time is dinner?" she asked,

"It's everyone for themselves tonight," Ara responded and waved as she left down the hall. Coming to the big room, she pulled open the door to find the rest of the crew hanging around inside. It was set up like it used to, beds and shelves along the perimeter, a short table and pillows and matresses in the center with a hookah and some playing cards scattered about, sinks at the back of the room. The only difference was that there were more shelves and the hammocks had been replaced with actual bunk beds sticking out of the wall. More space. Less people. "are we going out tonight or have you lot decided that you'll be hibernating for the summer?" she asked.

"Animals hibernate in the winter, idiot," Jon said,

"It was a joke." Ara shot an irritable glance at him.

"Not a funny one," He grumbled quietly.

"I'll come along tonight. I haven't been drunk in awhile. I'm getting too used to your ugly faces." Aaron called over with a cigarette in his mouth.

"Me too," chimed in Sam. "Ezra said he found a hookah bar around the corner from our safe spot. The drinks run cheap and the first two shots are free."

"Marlow and I are staying here to play hide and seek for anyone who wants to join." Ben piped up. Marlow threw his hand of cards down.

"I told you, I'm not playing hide and seek with you."

"Oh yes you are," Ben insisted. "What better way to explore the new ship, come on." his head pushed back into his neck, "what are you even like?" Marlow shook his head.

"Fine. I'll play your damn games." He groaned. Then Ben let out a triumphant, "yesssss."

"Any word from Zachary? Any follow ups?" Ara asked, looking to Marcus. Zachary had not been seen with the rebels the night of the mutiny but he had not been found on the ship. Marcus, with the professional help of Thomas Dunning, had been investigating on Zachary's disapearance.

"No," Marcus said quietly, running his fingers through his dark curly hair. "nothing." The rest of the room fell silent until Ara spoke up.

"Alright, any sorry sons of bitches that want to join me for a drink off, I'm leaving after dinner. It's every man for himself tonight." she grinned and left, turning to the first door on her right. she opened it and walked into her room.

there were two hammocks that were clipped into the wall and attached to the ceiling by rope, one hammock on top of the other like bunk beds. a ladder had been infused into the wall next to them and Ara climbed up, reaching her hammock. attached to the rope that held up the outer sides of the hammocks, hung a net that stretched accross the cieling of the room. Dominique and Ara had agreed that it was best they put pillows up there and a square wooden board that acted like a table. On the ground and at the back of the room were two small, four drawer desks with a body length mirror in between them. In the wall accross from the hammocks had been put in four drawers in which Dominique and Ara kept their clothes as well as a closet that didn't act like a closet but as storage space for weaponry, books, Ara's red hookah with a metal neck in the sculptured shape of a cobra, and other various belongings. Ara took her shirt off and lay back in her hammock. content.

Dominique walked in and closed the door behind her.

"Mercurian says, "you're welcome," for the additions he made to the room." dominique passed on, "The captain told me about the scret paths and where the door is in here." the chocolate skinned woman sat on her hammock.

   "New beginnings." Ara smiled.
