When Ian was a young boy, he and his sister Callie discovered their secret; they were the son and daughter of a Jovian king whose world had been subjugated by the evil Lord Phobos of Mars. After a great battle was fought they returned to the steam-powered world of Jupiter where Fireflights and Skyrockets rule the air. At the heart of this world are the orbs of water, fire and wind which bring balance and a new birth should it ever be destroyed by calamity or war. The location of each orb is guarded inside of the Book of Worlds along with the history of the Jovian Realms.
After Mars tried to invade Earth, Jupiter came to their defense and there was a great war. The Book of Worlds was destroyed and the last remaining Wordsmith works to rebuild it. In the midst of the war, Phobos returned and took the orbs which were dispatched to unknown locations including the subjugated moons of Mars. While Petros has gone in search of the legendary Orb of Convergence that merges the essence of all orbs with Jupiter, the Chrono Legion, they must find the orbs before the Martians do.
In the midst of this, a young boy struggles to find his place with no father to guide him in a world powered by steam whose destiny is directly tied with the world he now calls home. That destiny will finally give Ian the answer to the question he’s been asking himself all of his life.
Why did my father leave me?
