This curious shaving accessory is a Twinplex Stropper which could be an impressive addition to your zombie apocalypse kit if it just worked as advertised.  In theory these  neat little gadgets will resharpen a double edged razor blade to get more shaves.  Typical DE blades are good for about 5 shaves.

To date I have had less than no luck with mine.  It seems to actually dull blades so that they pull hair.  It is a nicely made gizmo with a cool old fashioned weight to it.  Demonstration video  I have not found anyone even on shaving forums who claims to have had any success with a Twinplex Stropper yet.

This would be a wonderfully steamy device if I can just get it to work.

One piece of prematurely abandoned shaving technology that our grandcestors knew was alum crystals.  These will quickly and neatly stop bleeding from minor cuts and nicks, prevent infection, and even tighten the skin.  I highly recommend buying one.

Witch hazel and styptic pencil were alternatives.

Alum crystals are also advertised as "lifetime antiperspirant" but results may vary.

You can find alum crystals for sale in local shaving and barber shops for about $10.00 which is not bad considering how many years they last (unless you drop them).  You can also find them on Ebay and Amazon.
