Fantastic piece! 

What is the thing on top that is attached to the copper tube? Does it make sound?  Do you think you could maybe post a photo of it sort of in the dark? To see it lit better?

I did.  The center is  plasma ball. Based on a Nerf Maverick. Then plumbing parts and l.e.d's, wiring and switches. It's the second of 2 right now, powered but the A.E.R mk2 pictured in the full gear set.

Did you make this yourself?  What is in it's center?  Could you describe the parts used?  I like it, it is quite ingenious!  The best part about SP, imo, is the creativity it inspires.
