Howdy. My name is William J. Jackson, and while many of you don't know me personally, I'd like to change that. While many of you fine folk express yourselves through attire, manners, convention hosting, and a whole litany of skills, I channel my eccentricities best via writing.

The Rail Legacy is about superhuman powers developing in America in the 1870s. It's about heroes. Mutation. Race division in the US. Militarism. It's about a nation grateful for the work of heroes, only to turn around and kill them, lock down the Railroad City, and here, the story begins.

My characters are troubled, perhaps unlikeable (at first), yet undaunted and cunning. The Rail is a detailed world and I have, through various stories, expanded it all the way into the 22nd century.
