                         ********IMPORTANT********

There is an underlying story and/or parts there of, that is followed from the Airship Alicia Grey and The Airship Battle Royale. It is not the main focus of the Gear, but It does happen from time to time. The events are scripted at first, but remember your input changes the script.

This role-play bar, is a light hearted dose of fun. It has its serious moments but the Spirit of the Gear is about comradery, having some drinks, and experiencing everything and anything. The more veteran gear posters will help out the newer Gear Goers with any questions, or ideas.

The gear is designed to help develop your characters if you would like. Feel free to message T.R. Harrison, Arabella Porter, or myself, if you have any questions.

WARNING: HAS BEEN KNOWN TO CAUSE: LAUGHING, GOOD COMPANY, AND ALL AROUND FUN!!!

*she smiles brightly* Indeed, much better now that I have him safe and sound at home. I swear, with all the trouble the man goes looking for he is a greater danger to himself than any of his enemies might be...*she frowns* It is very very good to have him back.

He chuckles and nods. "He does seem to invite danger to meet him in dark alley. But that is what he does. Trust in him to bring himself home safely."

He leans back in his chair and gives a small sigh. "I do hope he enjoys being home more. He could use more stability."

Though I agree with you that he needs more stability, keep in mind that too much of such could be a bad thing. That is a large part in why I left home...*she softly chuckles*

This is very true. Anna had me quite domesticated and I quite nearly got struck by a mugger. I'd become lackadaisical in my self defense techniques." He laughs and thumbs more tobacco into his pipe, letting it light itself.

*giggles* I don't think there is any chance of me domesticating Felix to that point. Rather, he has been having me take a walk on the wild side....training with Sarah and Ellie *shudders* It is certainly good for me to know those things if I am living here, but good grief! Nothing like the education I received at home....

I would gather the education of a high born household is far from the education one would receive living and existing in the world of pirates and mercenaries. The world here is one that exists opposite, beyond, and above the law that governs the rest of our world. The law that is built to protect those wealthy few like yourself that were born to privilege. Not that any of this should be blamed on those born that way. But it is a different world and it requires skills and abilities that would be distasteful to many where you are from."

Wilhelm smiles and blows a thick cloud of smoke upwards before looking to her again. "If you wish I could supply you with several weapons to defend yourself that would not have as.... messy of endings as those Felix employs. I designed many for Annabelle that would keep her safe without her having to resort to the torturous or deadly methods so many of us that gather here employ."

*She smiles* That would certainly be appreciated. I do fact already have a gun, that Felix gave me....and also this fan *she flicks open a black fan with red roses* that has a few unexpected tricks and twists *she pops a button and needles flare out of the pleats* I've noticed you can never be too prepared around here. Tura'lu briefly had me....he was threatening Felix using me. I swear, that man values his own life less than mine....*she shakes her head* Anyways. Being armed is a good thing here.

Wil chuckles and nods knowingly. "Yes. Around here weapons are a good thing. How about a parasol that can expel an extremely potent hallucinogenic gas that will leave any who breathes it seeing striped elephants for the better part of a day? Or a glove that has tiny little studs in that are coated with a nerve agent that will paralyze anyone touched by them for six hours?"

Wil quickly jots down a note in his notebook and hands it up to Simon. "Think you could pull that trick where the note shows up on Shankar's desk again?"

A moment later a quiet pop is heard from up in the rafters.

*Listens raptly* I think any of those should do the trick perfectly, Wil dear. Thank you so very much! *she looks up to the rafters* What is going on now?

Wil just chuckles and looks up at Simon. "I'm shocked you haven't figured it out already. Simon the Simian is probably the most advanced user of magic in this place. I lent him a book on spells that were supposed to teleport items but no one had ever gotten them to work. Not really sure how, but good old Simon got it to work. If you need something delivered in a hurry and it's fairly small just ask Simon."

Wil just smiles as he goes back to drinking his scotch, refilling his glass while shaking his head. "That damnable monkey is probably the smartest living thing in this room most days. I've spent months trying to figure him out. Ran ever test I can think of on hair samples and even a small blood sample he let me take. Yet I can not, for the life of me, find a single thing that differentiates him from any other monkey."

*she looks to simon and giggles* Indeed, he is smarter than most of the patrons in here.....*she pauses a moment, pondering* Wil, wouldn't it make sense that nothing would come back on a scientific test if what makes him different is magic? Magic is not exactly a known science....*she gives a tiny smirk*

Wil laughs and nods. "You are quite right that science wouldn't be able to explain it. Alchemy is not just science though. It takes equal parts science and magic to make it function. Without the proper combination all you really have is some crazy coot mixing weird concoctions out of any material they can think of. More then likely poisoning themselves in the process."

He takes a sip of his scotch and continues. "Essence of silver for instance. Modern science has shown that this liquid metal can seep in through our very skin and poison us. But it's use is vital in many alchemical formulas. Protective gear helps avoid skin contact but fumes not as much. But with minor charms on our gear we can use it without fear of the madness so regularly found by those who don't.

Many of my serums I sell are for affecting the strength, durability, or flexibility of the material it is applied to. While basic chemistry could do some of those things it would not to the level which my serums do. Nor would they affect any material applied to as mine do. This is a result of using magic as an essential ingredient in the formula causing it to work in the manner I so desire. If there is even the smallest change in the mixture of physical ingredients it can also affect the result as well. A tenth of a gram to much granite powder in a hardening serum could well petrify the object it's applied to for instance.

So when I tested the samples from Simon I used my resources with both science and magic. All be it I'm not as advanced as a pure scientist nor do I know the many and sundry nuances of testing that a pure mage may use. But my tests found nothing and I'm willing to leave him alone and label him a mystery."
