You'd think the further south you travel the hotter it'd get, but such was not the case. Going from Ole' Briton's shores to the Afrikkas then to the Suez can't be good for one's constitution. Weeded out the blighters and the posers though.

     Once across the canal, we airlifted all the gear across the mountains and into the Arab strongholds. The artillery tubes had gotten some banging about due to the Leftenant's haste in arrival. Sour stomache or some such weakness. I'll give our hosts one thing...they sure can put outta spread. Never thought I'd enjoy fermented mare's milk or koumiss as they call it. A bit rough at first, but after a few it don't matter. We were called up to put off some Punjabi raiders just across the border...
