Mary Jane Kelly

                Besides Leander, my best friend in White Chapel was a woman who went by the name of Mary Jane Kelly (Although she liked to go by Marie Jeanette). She had a husband named John Porter who many thought was related to me but that’s not the case. Although Mary’s knot was tied, she still had the most common profession in the area; prostitution. She was known for three things; her absolutely beautiful face and body, her sweet personality, and her “circle technique” blow jobs also known as “knee tremblers”.  But it’s a true rarity to find someone as amiable as Mary in a place like White Chapel, London.  The men who were sane (although very few) treated her with much respect and the only bad thing to say about her was that she was constantly tipsy if not drunk.

               Another thing I loved about Mary was that she had the most beautiful voice. She lived on Millers court.  A ways away from the Ten Bells and when you walked by her tenement, you could hear her ringing out in mezzo-soprano. My mother taught me how to sing but Mary taught me how to pull up and put the sound out front instead of at the back of my throat. It’s a real shame that she’s still in prostitution. She could be killed one day.
