                         ********IMPORTANT********

There is an underlying story and/or parts there of, that is followed from the Airship Alicia Grey and The Airship Battle Royale. It is not the main focus of the Gear, but It does happen from time to time. The events are scripted at first, but remember your input changes the script.

This role-play bar, is a light hearted dose of fun. It has its serious moments but the Spirit of the Gear is about comradery, having some drinks, and experiencing everything and anything. The more veteran gear posters will help out the newer Gear Goers with any questions, or ideas.

The gear is designed to help develop your characters if you would like. Feel free to message T.R. Harrison, Arabella Porter, or myself, if you have any questions.

Steel contemplated his options, and decided that emulating friendliness was better for his goals at the moment, and walked over to the two, "If you wish ma'am."

You can join us if you wish sir. I have no objections. Sorry for not hearing you earlier though. I am Wilhelm Heizeltroff. The resident alchemist and one of the more prevalent regulars here at the Gear." Wil raises his jar before taking another sip with a smile.

Wil smiles and looks at the chair to his right for a moment before pushing it out for her. Doing his absolute best to not show his emotions as he does so. "Please feel free to join me if you wish good Lady."

He smile as he puffs at his pipe for a moment then continues. "Moonshine is made in the same way as many traditional whiskies. The difference is that instead of barley or grain it uses corn for the base ingredient. It's a quick way to make liquor of a very high proofage. It's also illegal in many places unfortunately."

"Only if you sell it," Steel corrected upon hearing the explanation, he thought about how he knew the knowledge, but dismissed it as something he could have heard over the year.

*nods as she smiles, an obvious thirst for knowledge on her face.*  I see.  And why illegal, do you suppose?  *concern comes into her eyes as she realizes his slight hesitancy*  Does it bother you for me to be so close?

*smiles sweetly*  Of course we wish you to join us.  And I suppose selling it would mean less money for the liquor purchased in stores ... could that be the reason for illegality?

"I thank you for including me," Steel said as he bowed his head, "I have traveled alone most of my memorable life, usually with good reason." He then thought about the reason, "the government is greedy, if we sell liquor we make ourselves outside of the stores, the government doesn't get its taxes."

*nodding*  I see.  *chucking*  I feel quite silly not to have thought of that to begin with!  What a mutton head you must think me.

It's illegal to make in many places because it is made without proper taxes being paid for it. It's illegal throughout the American states due to federal laws which require that all liquor making be strictly controlled and properly taxed. Many people believe that making liquor for personal consumption is legal but this is, in fact, quite false. The distillation of liquor for either consumption or use as fuel is very strictly controlled by the government."

Wil smiles and continues smoking his pipe between sips.

*eyes twinkling*  Is that so?  Quite interesting!

Steel shrugged, "So I've been told," he responded to Wil, then to Abigail "and I don't think you are that, you are polite, it is enough for me to forgive you for ignorance. I am a quite unusual being after all."

*smiles sweetly to Steel*  Thank you very much for the compliment.  And I know they are meaningful, as you are a very truthful person.
